ABSTRACT

In the world of education, Study Plan Form filling process is activity routine is always done at the beginning of the year. From the beginning, filling Form Study Plan The use of the manual system, where students must take the form on the education section, then fill the form manually, academic supervisor for approval, and then do the attestation The counter endorsement. By students, this process has been very disturbing, because spend considerable amounts of time, and besides being very tired students, having to queue up at the counter of ratification. With the start of the growing world of technology, especially technology–based web, Study Plan Form filling process can be facilitated. By using the a server side scripting technology (programs that all the process is done on the server), can created an online application to help facilitate students in the process Study Plan Form filling, which with this system, form filling process Study plans can be made for the better. This thesis explores the process of analysis and design in create an online web-based program, to assist in the process Study Plan Form filling.

DISCUSSION

The development of information technology around the world have made ​​life humans become increasingly easier. Especially since the creation of the Internet, communication becomes increasingly limited and without a hitch, both barriers geographical and time barriers. We can immediately communicate with family / relatives / friends who are in other parts of the world directly through Internet network. For the manufacture of the online application, now has available a variety of programming language that supports the online applications, among which ASP (Active Server Pages), PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor), ColdFusion and Perl. When using the online system, students can choose their own course he wants directly through computers available in the lab, cafe and even from their homes. With direct charging, if there is a class that has been filled, then the system automatically rejected, and the student can directly change the schedule on the spot, without the need to queue again. The system will also automatically reject if the student select courses prerequisite courses has not passed. With this online system, will mean a reduction in the error the process of entering data, because students entering data respectively.

This research seeks to improve the old system, which manually and replace it with a new system, which goes online replacement. This system is expected to save costs and saving time that has issued during the charging process lasts Study Plan Form.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol is a TCP / IP protocol on the application layer which is the basis for the World Wide Web. Implemented the first time in end of 1990. HTTP is a request-response protocol. A program HTTP client makes a connection with the HTTP server and ask for a specific page from the server, an HTTP server program accepts the connection and answer requests from clients. This has led the authors to make the charging system Study Plan online form, to facilitate and accelerate Study Plan Form filling process.

To overcome the problem, the authors propose the creation of a new system for charging the Study Plan Form (FRS) based web. The new system is expected to speed up the process of filling FRS compared with the old system. The author deliberately chose a system that web-based, because by using a web-based system, the program can be accessed from anywhere and at any time. Here are some reasons why the author chose to propose a web-based system: To connect between the server and the client, it only takes a web server only. Makes it easy for the user (student), because the interface is a web browser used, in which all students must have been very common use. It is also easier for the programmer because it does not need to create a program interface for clients. Web-based system is a flexible system, because the system web-based, then the application can be accessed from anywhere, from the cafe, homes, laboratories, offices, even on vacation, students can FRS fill simply by opening a web browser .

CONCLUSION

No more queuing at the making of paper students form Study Plan is still empty. The process of implementation of the Plan of Study Form filling can be done faster, because students no longer need to queue up to meet the academic supervisor, and no need to queue at the counter endorsement. Error reading the data by a data input clerk is very minimal, because students do their own selection of courses, and the results are stored directly in-database. Students can complete a Plan of Study anywhere, anytime, during the charging process lasts Study Plan Form. Officers do not have to bother secretariat serve all students, but only some students who have trouble charging Plan Form Studies. Security of data each student is guaranteed, because each student gets a different password, and the student can also change their password.

ADVICE
The author realizes that the Study Plan Form Filling System is Online still has some drawbacks, for it, if the charging system research online Study Plan Form wants to proceed, the author would like to give some advice on the parts that should be discussed they are: Data connection problems with the bank . Because even though the connection to the server is slow, but if the computer does not can process orders quickly, it will still take a long time.
